Video: Sachin Tendulkar's 1st ODI century
On 9 September 1994, Indian legend Sachin Tendulkar scored his first ODI century. The knock, which came against Australia at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo was the first of 49 centuries that the master blaster would end up scoring for India in limited overs cricket.
Despite now holding the record for most ODI centuries quite comfortably, Tendulkar got his first ton in the format in only his 79th match. His knock of 110 from 130 balls helped India beat Australia by 31 runs in a league match in the Singer World Series. India would further go on to win the tournament by beating Sri Lanka in the final.
