Video: Shane Warne plays Aussie rules football

Shane Warne poses for a team photograph

Shane Warne is the pinnacle as far as leg spin is concerned at the highest level. He has the accreditation of single-handedly reviving the dying art of Leg Spin. With Warne, it was not just always about his on-field performance. He is a born entertainer on and off the field. Only a select few could match up to the flair and swag of the blonde Victorian.

Knowing the true spirit of the veteran, you knew that he would hardly sit idle. Having completely revamped his physical appearance, he looks even younger and fit. Slightly rotund during his playing days, he is now in better shape than ever. Warney was born for sports and not just for Cricket. Don’t believe us. Well, let us solve all your doubts.

Here is a little history to set things into perspective.

Warne had enrolled St Kilda Cricket Club near his home suburb of Rock. Starting from lower eleven he progressed to first elevens. During the cricket offseason in 1987 Warne played five games of Australian rules football for the St Kilda Football Club's under 19 team.

Here is a video of Warne dying and running like a wily old fox as he plays a game of Aussie Rules football during the St Kilda Thank You Round charity match at Etihad Stadium on August 25, 2012, in Melbourne, Australia.
