Video: 'We're here to win cricket games', says Haddin

Australia wicketkeeper Brad Haddin looks ahead to the second Ashes Test against England at Lord’s on Tuesday.

Brad Haddin, Australia wicketkeeper:
“I think they’ve been going in the right direction since day one of the tour. My stance on that hasn’t changed. Obviously it was a disappointing result in the first Test, it was nice to get so close, but we’re not here to get close, we’re here to win cricket games and where we are at and where we want to take this group, we’re comfortable where everything is at. It’s the second Test of the campaign, we’re at Lord’s, we’d love to see a couple of the guys’ names up on the board and to get a win here.”

“My take is… ever since I’ve been back with the Australian team, everything has been fine. Day one of the tour, it’s been an exciting time and the excitement hasn’t changed. We’re all really excited to be in an Ashes campaign. Darren (Lehmann) has done a wonderful job, like all our staff and all our players. We’ve gone over it before, it’s not hard to come up for an Ashes campaign. This is as good as it gets. All the other stuff we can talk about is white noise, so it’s not something that’s actually been affecting the side at all.”
