Video: When Dharamsala went crazy before the match after AB de Villiers walked out

South Africa’s one-day international captain AB de Villiers’ popularity in unmeasurable around the cricketing nations especially in India. To give a practical example of that, Dharamsala crowd decided cheer like never before when De Villiers walked out to practice with his team.

Former Indian cricketer turned commentator, Aakash Chopra, recorded a video of De Villiers joining his teammates in the practice session before the Dharamsala game and posted it on his Twitter handle. In the video, you can hear the crowd going crazy and shouting “De Villiers, De Villiers.”

He is the most loved cricketer, wherever he goes, his fans will follow him like no else. De Villiers is already famous in India as he plays for the Royal Challengers Banglore franchise in the Indian Premier League.

India is currently hosting the South Africa cricket team. They are scheduled to play three Twenty20 internationals, five one-day internationals, and four Test matches. The visitors have already started on the winning note by winning the first two Twenty20s which were played in Dharamsala and Cuttack. Next match is going to be held in Kolkata on 8 October.
