Video: Yuvraj Singh's heartfelt message for Shahid Afridi and Peshawar

It is always nice to see when one dashing cricketer says good things about another dashing cricketer from a different country, and this is especially the case when the two respective countries are locked in a hostile battle.

The much discussed India-Pakistan series may or may not take place, but the Pakistan Super League will take place in February next year, and Shahid Afridi will be participating in the event in Peshawar colours. Yuvraj Singh, while holding forth on Afridi’s human nature in a very special video message, claimed that Afridi’s team would win the event.

On Afridi’s character, Yuvraj said, “Do not be angry with Afridi’s words. I have faced a lot of sledges from him while playing for India. But that’s his exterior, his heart is very good, very soft.”

Yuvraj and Afridi have been good friends for a long time, with a lot of mutual respect, not marred by the high octane on-field clashes they have been involved in.

Yuvraj is the first Indian cricketer send his good wishes to the fledgling Pakistan Super League, and this gesture has been appreciated by many fans across the border:
