The video by Tanmay Bhat has caused much controversy. The comedian, while posting the video had clarified that it was not to be taken in bad taste as he was just having some fun. Bhat said, “I make such nonsense on my Snapchat – follow me there – ID: Thetanmay (Also I obviously love Lata and Sachin, just having some fun).” Indian viewers had difficulty taking a joke and resorted to taking offence to the video instead of ignoring or enjoying the self-proclaimed “nonsense”.
