Vinod Kambli wants Sachin Tendulkar to become the coach of Indian team
Vinod Kambli thinks that his once-a-friend and batting legend Sachin Tendulkar is best suited to replace Ravi Shastri as coach of the Indian cricket team. It seems Kambli can’t afford to have a dull day on Twitter.
Only a day after engaging in a war of words after expressing his desire to coach the Pakistan national team on a humorous note, Kambli now chose to advise the BCCI to hire his childhood friend and former team-mate Sachin Tendulkar as India's new coach.
The 44-year-old former India player said with Tendulkar’s wide range of qualities and capabilities, he is pretty sure that the youngsters will definitely be benefitted if he becomes the coach.
“In my opinion, BCCI should approach Sachin Tendulkar to be Team India's new coach. He has tremendous quality and youngsters will benefit,” tweeted Kambli.

After the end of Ravi Shastri's tenure as Team Director, the BCCI is looking suitable person to fit the high-profile post. India U-19 and India A coach Rahul Dravid is being considered by many as the most likely person to replace Shastri.
Former New Zealand captain Stephen Fleming is also being considered a contender. But Kambli’s comment floating Sachin’s name came out of the blue.
Everybody is apparently taken aback at Kambli suggesting Sachin’s name.
The Background
After ‘telling the truth’ a television reality show that Sachin didn’t stand by him during his tough times, the duo gradually fell apart.
Although Kambli tried to make peace with the Master Blaster on several occasions, he didn’t even get a mention in Sachin’s soul-stirring farewell speech.
Kambli was not invited for Sachin’s retirement party either. Kambli is quite active on Twitter and often replies to his followers. But his tweet where he said that he wants his old mate to be the next Indian coach, seem more of a ploy to mend his relation with Sachin than anything else.
