Hours after being named the ICC Cricketer of the Year, Virat Kohli became only the second Indian batsman after Sunil Gavaskar to break the 900-point mark in the latest ICC Test rankings announced after the end of the 2nd India-South Africa Test.

While India stumbled to their second consecutive loss, Kohli was in fine form in the first innings, scoring his 21st Test hundred to jump from 880 to 900 points.

Kohli is only the 31st batsman in the history of the game to breach the 900 point mark. Don Bradman leads the charts with 961 points, followed closely by modern great Steve Smith (947), as well as the likes of Len Hutton (945), Ricky Ponting (942) and Jack Hobbs (942).

In the bowler's rankings, Kagiso Rabada slipped one point to the second spot, letting England's James Anderson take the lead over him. Rabada finished with figures of one for 74 and three for 47 at Centurion, with debutant Lungi Ngidi stealing the limelight with a six-fer in the second innings. Ngidi made his entry into the rankings by occupying the 61st spot.
