Virat Kohli wants RCB to buy Yuvraj Singh in the IPL 7 auctions

Yuvraj Singh will be one of the biggest names in the auction pool for the IPL 7 season. The left-hander was the former captain of the now defunct Sahara Pune Warriors and will probably attract bids from all the 8 teams.

Virat Kohli, the captain of the Royal Challengers Bangalore, wants the franchise to buy Yuvraj Singh, and has already spoken to the southpaw about playing for the Bangalore outfit. Reports also suggest that Kolkata Knight Riders, Mumbai Indians, Delhi Daredevils and Kings XI Punjab have also shown interest for the middle-order batsman, who can bowl effective left-arm spin, and is an above average fielder as well.

Whether Yuvraj will cause a bidding war, could hinge on his performance against Karnataka in the Ranji Trophy semifinals at Mohali starting 18th January. “He is a big-match player and will certainly be a top draw,” TOI quoted a source.

The IPL auctions will take place at the ITC Gardenia hotel in Bangalore on the 12th and 13th of February.
