Virat Kohli will travel in BMTC bus if RCB wins IPL 2016 Final today

Virat Kohli wants to travel in a BMTC bus if RCB wins the IPL

The victory parade plans are well underway for Kohli and Co. even before the game has begun as Royal Challengers Bangalore face off against SunRisers Hyderabad for the coveted 2016 IPL trophy. RCB captain and talisman Virat Kohli has already made plans regarding the bus he wants his team to board if they win the trophy.

The open Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation Bus is being procured for the celebration party as Virat Kohli hopes to add another feather in his cap by winning today’s match.

The same BMTC Bus was previously used in a 10km roadshow as a part of the 2008 ICC Under-19 World Cup victory celebrations where Virat Kohli was himself a part of. Vijay Mallya had then arranged the programme which was believed to be promoting Royal Challengers Bangalore after Kohli and his team returned victorious from the Under-19 World Cup in Malaysia.

He would want to experience it all over again by demolishing Warner and his men in front of the home crowd at Chinnaswamy Stadium.

The management is already preparing for the parade and an RCB official involved in it was quoted by Bangalore Mirror saying, “Virat is an emotional person and he is the strength of RCB… we are already working at making the RCB victory a memorable one. Virat still remembers the 2008 celebration after he and the Men in Blue won the under-19 world cup. He relishes their travel from the HAL Airport to the Chinnaswamy stadium on an open BMTC bus.

This time, also we have chosen the same lucky bus for Virat and company. The bus is being readied and we are decorating it to suit RCB and Virat Kohli.”

A source of Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) added, “Necessary permissions for the roadshow, which will start on Monday morning from the Ritz Carlton Hotel, have been taken. The procession will go via MG Road to Chinnaswamy stadium. This will culminate in a grand ceremony at the stadium with a music concert by Raghu Dixit.”

RCB progressed to the Finals by beating Gujarat Lions thanks to a brilliant innings by AB de Villiers. Kohli, however, will be looking to star in the final and win RCB’s maiden IPL title. He has been in sensational form this season , having already scored four centuries  and has aggregated the most runs in a single IPL edition.

RCB are favourites to win the trophy this year at The Chinnaswamy Stadium and the victory parade that might follow will be a treat for every Bengaluru faithful.
