Warne clicks picture with Sachin and Lara after practice for MCC XI v World XI

 

Aussie legend Shane Warne posted a picture of himself with Sachin Tendulkar and Brian Lara on Instagram. Warne will feature for Rest of the World against MCC XI featuring Sachin and Lara on occasion of Lords cricket stadium's bicentenary on July 5.

Though Warne was part of a heated rivalry with Indian maestro Sachin, and also had locked horns several time with Windies batting legend Lara, he posed with the two veterans for a pic.

Sachin will lead the MCC XI side that also features former stalwarts like Lara, Rahul Dravid, Shivnarine Chanderpaul and Bret Lee. Aussie hitter Aaron Finch, and his compatriot Shaun Tait, English keeper Chris Read, Pakistani bowling duo of Saeed Ajmal and Umar Gul and veteran Kiwi all-rounder Daniel Vettori also feature in the MCC XI side.

Warne will be in charge of Rest of the World XI, that has two Indians, Yuvraj Singh and Virender Sehwag, recently retired from England duties Kevin Pietersen, Sri Lankan legend and Warne's rival Muttiah Muralitharan, former England all-rounder Paul Collingwood, Windies pacer Tino Best, explosive Bangladeshi batsman Tamim Iqbal and Warne's former Aussie teammate Adam Gilchrist and another another player from Down Under Peter Siddle.

MCC v Hertfordshire was the first ever match played at the Lords on June 22, 1814. And its been 200 long years while the hallowed ground as gone on to establish itself as the 'Mecca of Cricket.'

For the first time since 1987, supporters will be allowed to watch the match from in between the perimeter fence and the boundary rope on the Grand Stand side of the Ground.

The day will include performances from a 63-piece steel band, and singer-songwriters. Tickets are priced at just £10 for adults and £5 for under 16s in any stand.
