As Dindigul Dragons face Ruby Kanchi Warriors in their India Cements TN Premier League game on Tuesday in Chennai, it will be interesting to see as to how R Ashwin and M Ashwin perform. Can the two spin bowlers send Warriors into a tizzy?

Dindigul Dragons and Ruby Kanchi Warriors will aim to build on the momentum of their first-match wins as the two teams play each other in an India Cements TN Premier League game on Tuesday in Chennai.

If Dragons beat Madurai Super Giants by 14 runs in a rain-truncated game, then Warriors needed a super-over to win against Lyca Kovai Kings.

Also, Dragons’ spin duo of R Ashwin and M Ashwin are expected to play. MS Sanjay and Guru Kedarnath are the two players who may change the complexion of the game.

Dindigul’s opening batsman N Jagadeeshan was in good form, as was evident by his 50-ball 71 in the first match. Subramaniam Siva, Sunny Kumar Singh, and Ganga Sridhar Raju are the other players to watch out for. Both teams were exceptional in the fielding department and it remains to be seen as to what pans out in this one.

Warriors have a slight edge, though, thanks to familiarity with conditions. Wicket-keeper batsman Nilesh Subramanian was in impeccable form in the first match and looked sharp both on field as well as with the bat. Also, Baba Indrajith showcased his leadership ability and was instrumental in anchoring his team till the very end.

On the other hand, Warriors will expect to score more runs in their top and middle-order. Bowling is their strongest area, with the likes of M Prabhu and R Jesuraj doing well to stem the run-flow. Even J Kaushik and J Kousik look promising.

Key battles: A clash of captains is in the offing as R Ashwin pits his wits against the in-form Baba Indrajith.
