Video: Wasim Akram's response after surviving gun attack in Karachi; police clarify
Former Pakistan captain Wasim Akram’s car was shot at while he was travelling to National Stadium in Karachi today. According to the reports in The Dawn, he is safe and the police is verifying the motive behind the attack.
Pakistan’s Reuters correspondent and ex-Editor of The News Mehreen Zahra-Malik tweeted quoting Akram that it was a government official behind the attack.

Another correspondent later said Akram was accidentally caught in a crossfire and that the bullet hit his car’s tyre.
