Watch: Chris Gayle shakes his leg to Michael Jackson's Thriller after RCB's loss at IPL Final 2016
Winning or losing doesn’t really matter to Chris Gayle, as long as he gets to have a good time whether on-field or off-field. After the Royal Challengers Bangalore lost to the Sunrisers Hyderabad at the IPL 2016 Finals, the supporters of the team and its home city crawled back into their shells in disappointment, with its star players Virat Kohli and AB De Villiers completely dejected at the loss.
However, the game did not seem to have much of a lasting impact on Chris Gayle, who has been in the eye of a storm over his recent sexually-charged comments, his initial indifferent form and his brutal 79 runs off 38 balls in the final even after which RCB failed to chase down the target of 209.
Not surprisingly, none of Gayle's superstar teammates gave him company in his tryst with the dance floor. After the emotionally draining defeat, none of Gayle's usual companions were in the mood to party but unsurprisingly it didn't deter the big-hitting Jamaican.
The big Jamaican was seen shaking his leg to the famous Michael Jackson song “Thriller”, at a London nightclub post the tournament. His Instagram post read “Win or Lose.. This is always me!! No 1 wanted to touch the dance floor so I say phuck it…this was India last night so tonight I continue my dance moves in London!! Will miss u my champion. Plz take lessons from my dancing (sic)”.
It was really evident from this that the West Indian player seemed to be immensely enjoying himself without any qualms whatsoever, even though not so long ago he was dogged down with controversies galore. He also paid a tribute to the Indian player Sarfaraz Khan, who was always seen in the company of the West Indian in the RCB dressing room. Young Sarfaraz Khan was towing along but he preferred to stay away from the dance floor as Gayle showed off his classy moves to the onlookers.
Gayle had left the IPL midway to be along with his wife for the birth of their first daughter and failed to show up with the bat upon his return. Soon after, he was dropped for four games. The self-proclaimed ‘Universe Boss’ did find some form in the latter half of the tournament to finish with 227 runs from 10 matches including two fifties.
Recently, there have been speculations of Chris Gayle or Bravo being approached for the Indian version of ‘Dancing with the Stars’- ‘Jhalak Dikhla Ja’. However, no concrete information has been gathered on that front.
