[Watch] Danny Morrison makes hand gesture to MS Dhoni to confirm whether he is batting due to crowd noise at toss during DC vs CSK

Indian Premier League (IPL) presenter Danny Morrison made a batting gesture to Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain MS Dhoni to confirm his decision at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Saturday, May 20. The incident took place after Dhoni won the coin toss against Delhi Capitals (DC).

Dhoni confirmed that he is batting first and added that they will play the same side in their last group-stage game. He reckoned that the bowlers will come into play during the second half of the contest.

Speaking at the toss, Dhoni said:

“We will bat. We've been trying to win games right from the first game. We're playing the same XI, it's a balanced XI, and we don't need to make many changes.”

He added:

“Day game, the pitch will also slow down as the match progresses, that's the reason we wanted to bat first. In a tournament like this, we'll have good and bad games, need to take the learnings from every game and that's what I want the youngsters in the team to learn.”

A win over DC will help the Super Kings qualify for the IPL 2023 playoffs.

Meanwhile, DC, made a couple of changes, bringing in Lalit Yadav and Chetan Sakariya. Warner said:

“Today is all about spoiling the CSK party. The match-ups work - Lalit Yadav comes in, and so does Sakariya. Ishant goes out. We will have to start afresh here after that convincing win in Dharamsala.”

There is a sea of yellow at the stadium, due to CSK's fanbase, and rumors of Dhoni's last IPL game.
