Watch: Dhoni plays hide-and-seek with a fan on the field in Nagpur ODI
The second ODI between India and Australia is being played at Nagpur. Aaron Finch's luck with the toss continues as he won the toss again and this time chose to bowl first. India lost Rohit Sharma for the duck and then Shikhar Dhawan for 21 runs. Rayudu also came in and went back to the pavilion soon.
India promoted Vijay Shankar in this match. It turned out to be a great move by the Indian cricket team as the Tamil Nadu all-rounder were in full flow with the bat. He was all set to score big. Unfortunately, however, he got run out at 46. This is the second time Shankar got run out. He batted really well in last two ODI innings.
India lost Shankar and the slide began. India lost Jadhav and Dhoni in consecutive balls. They were the heroes from the last game. Kohli was running out of the partnership at the other end. Jadeja stayed with him for some time. The Indian captain notched yet another century.
This was his 40th in the ODI cricket and he needs just 10 more centuries to break the Sachin Tendulkar's great record. In this process, Kohli also becomes the fastest to score 9000 International runs as captain. India were bowled out for 250.
Indian cricket fans always want to go near their favorite cricketers. There are many instances in the past where fans run into the ground just to shake hands or touch the feet of their favorite cricketers.
One such instance happened today when the Indian team walked into the ground to resume the second innings, one Indian fan tried to meet Dhoni but the former Indian captain turned the situation funny by playing hide and seek with the fan.
Such a gesture from Dhoni wins over everything.
