Watch: MS Dhoni makes the day of 87-year-old fan in Australia
What's the story?
MS Dhoni is surely one of those cricketers who has a huge fan following in every part of the world. The Ranchi-born cricketer has gone through many hard patches throughout his career but undoubtedly, his fans have always stood by him.
Wherever he goes, fans never leave him alone. The former Indian skipper though makes sure to keep them happy as we often see him posing for pictures and giving autographs to his followers.
In a recent case, the 37-year-old was seen chatting with an 87-year-old woman after a practice session at Sydney. The duo was caught by cameras while sharing a moment of joy and within no time, the video went viral.
The background
After winning the Test series, the Indian cricket team is currently preparing for the three-match ODI series which begins from Saturday at Sydney. MS Dhoni and some other players who were not part of the longer-version team joined the squad a couple of days ago.
Virat Kohli's men headed to a practice session at Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) on Thursday to make sure they gain the momentum before taking the field in the first ODI.
The heart of the matter
A good number of fans had made it to the ground to watch the Men-in-Blue in action. Likewise, an 87-year-old lady, Mrs Edith Norman, a die-hard MS Dhoni fan, had also come to the ground alongside her son to see her favourite star practising.
To her delight, the Chennai Super Kings captain sat down with her and shared a few light-hearted moments. Here is the video posted by a Twitter user, showing Dhoni and the lady having a chat.
What's next?
MS Dhoni hasn't been in the best of his form recently. The right-handed batsman would be looking forward to making the most of the ODI series against Australia, to send a strong message to selectors before the 2019 World Cup.
