Watch: MS Dhoni practises his shooting skills ahead of second ODI against Australia

<p>

What is it that this man can’t do? He is a thunderbolt behind the stumps with his stumping, he’s cool as a cucumber under pressure, he can play the sheet anchor role, can finish matches in ruthless style, and now this!

Ahead of the second one-day international against Australia, the superman from Ranchi decided to try his hand at pistol shooting. Courtesy the persistent rainfall in Kolkata, the teams have been compelled to remain indoors and not train before locking horns at the Eden Gardens tomorrow and as a result, former Indian skipper MS Dhoni decided to visit the Kolkata Police Shooting Range to polish his shooting skills.

In a video clip uploaded by the Police department of Kolkata on their Facebook page, MS can be seen firing a bunch of rounds.

"Our inbox is getting flooded with requests of posting a video clip of MS Dhoni sharpening his shooting skills this afternoon at our range at Police Training School,” the Facebook page post read.

Apparently, the 36-year-old also gave a pep talk to the officials there. "It's great to host Dhoni for the second time. He's an extraordinary marksman and inspired us all," the top Kolkata Police official who accompanied Dhoni told PTI.

"It's a state of art shooting range at PTS and Dhoni shot both in the 10m and 25 ranges."

The 36-year-old was also nominated for the Padma Bhushan Award earlier today – which is India’s third highest civilian honour. Dhoni was nominated for the prestigious award by the Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI) for his commendable contributions to Indian cricket. His curriculum vita consists of being the only player to captain the Indian cricket team to two World titles – ICC World Cup in 2011 and the World T20 Championship in 2007, along with capturing the Champions Trophy in 2013.
