Watch Video: Official Trailer of MS Dhoni - The Untold Story released
Raising expectations of revealing the full story behind MS Dhoni’s epoch making journey into Indian cricket, the trailer of his upcoming biopic has been released. Directed by Neeraj Pandey, the movie stars Sushant Singh Rajput in the titular role.
Armed with an interesting tagline, ‘The Untold Story’, the eagerly anticipated film promises to give a peek into Dhoni’s formative years. Launching the trailer at DAV Public School (Kulachi Hansraj Model School), the wicket-keeper batsman looked back at his childhood.
Dhoni revealed, “I have studied in DAV Ranchi. I have always said that school days were the most important days of my life from the start. I feel I need to give lot of credit to the management of the school where along with studies, you could do a lot of things. If you are playing some kind of a sport you are not looked down upon. I think that is very important in the school culture.”

Hailed as one of India’s greatest ever captains, Dhoni made his debut in a 2004 ODI against Bangladesh at Chittagong. Storming into the limelight as a long-haired swashbuckling batsman, he gradually shaped himself into a charismatic leader across all formats of the game.
Sushant Singh Rajput had admitted that playing the national icon came with a ‘huge responsibility’. Beginning with a shot of him waiting at a railway station as a ticketing employee, the trailer fittingly ends with his signature shot to seal the 2011 ICC World Cup in Mumbai.
Some of the other cast members include Anupam Kher, Bhoomika Chawla, Kiara Advani, Herry Tangri and Disha Patani. Co-produced by Fox Star Studios, MS Dhoni – The Untold Story is scheduled to release on September 30.
