[Watch] Virat Kohli practices in the nets as play goes on in IND vs BAN 2024 1st Test
Ace Team India batter Virat Kohli was spotted in the nets with play underway on Day 3 (Saturday, September 21) of the first Test between India and Bangladesh. A video of the same is doing the rounds on social media.
The 35-year-old managed only 23 runs across the two innings he played in the match. In the first innings, Kohli got off the mark with a brace and looked in good nick as he timed the next ball well and picked up three runs. His fourth stump weakness was exploited again as Hasan Mahmud got him to edge one behind to Liton Das, who held onto the catch safely, dismissing him for 6 runs off 6 balls.
In the second essay, the former Team India captain got a few boundaries under his belt and looked set for a sizeable score but was adjudged LBW by the umpire. Replays showed that there was an inside edge but Kohli decided against reviewing the decision, ending his stay at a score of 17 runs in 37 balls.
Kohli was then spotted in the nets facilities adjacent to the stadium, with the 35-year-old practising leaving the ball outside the off stump. A user by the name of Middle Class Chandler posted a video of the same on the internet.
