Watch: Yuvraj Singh smashes a reverse sweep six, something not seen before
The man of the tournament in 2011 World Cup Yuvraj Singh is known for smashing big sixes in international cricket. He is the only cricketer to smash six 6s in an over in a T20 International. It happened against England in the 2007 inaugural World T20 Cup tournament. It's something every Indian fan will remember forever.
The veteran cricketer once held the record of smashing most sixes for India in T20 internationals, but the feat recently was broken by Indian vice-captain Rohit Sharma, who went on to become the first Indian cricketer to smash 100 sixes in the shorter version of the game.
The Punjab-born cricketer has not been seen in international cricket for a long time but he still has a strong fan following. Not only his fans, but every Indian cricket fan would love to watch him when he gets going. Though he is out of the Indian team, he's regularly playing domestic cricket to keep himself in touch.
The former Indian cricketer recently played in a friendly match held between Air India and Maldives. Soon enough, the videos of him smashing a reverse sweep six started going viral on Twitter. This is something we might not have seen him doing this in international cricket. He usually played traditional cricket shots in his International career.
The left-hander last played international cricket against West Indies in 2017. He was the backbone of the Indian team that won the 2007 World T20 and 2011 World Cup. Yuvi played for Punjab in the recently concluded Ranji trophy and managed to score only 99 runs in 14 games.
The southpaw is set to play for the Mumbai Indians in the upcoming IPL season, where the fans can expect such shots from the legendary Indian cricketer. The upcoming IPL season is likely to begin from last week of March.
