WBBL 2023 Top run-getters and wicket-takers after Perth Scorchers vs Sydney Sixers (Updated) ft. Grace Harris and Ashleigh Gardner
Perth Scorchers got the better of Sydney Sixers, beating them by 36 runs in the 18th match of the WBBL 2023 at the W.A.C.A Ground in Perth.
Batting first, the Scorchers managed to put up 166 runs for the loss of eight wickets. Surprisingly, Alana King was their highest-scorer with an unbeaten 14-ball 33 at an astonishing strike rate of 235.71.
Despite a gritty knock of 59 from Sixers skipper Ellyse Perry, the Sixers fell well short in the chase. They could only muster 130 runs, losing nine wickets in the end. Amy Edgar proved to be a nightmare for the Sixers’ batters as she claimed four wickets.

Sitting comfortably at the top of this list is Grace Harris. The Brisbane Heat batter has accumulated 257 runs from five games, averaging 64.25 and striking at 196.18, with a best score of 136*.
Following a half-century in this game, Sixers skipper Ellyse Perry is now in the second spot. The all-rounder has 189 runs from four matches, averaging 47.25.
Katie Mack now drops a position down to third, with 171 runs from five innings. The Australian veteran, Beth Mooney, with 161 runs from five matches, is in fourth position.
Further, Sophie Devine (159), Chamari Athapaththu (145), and Phoebe Litchfield (140) have been significant scorers for their respective teams so far.

With three wickets in this game, Sixers’ Ashleigh Gardner tops the bowling charts with 10 wickets from five innings at an economy rate of 7.73.
Amy Louise Edgar was phenomenal with the ball for Perth Scorchers. Courtesy of her four-wicket haul, she is now in the second position with nine wickets at an economy of 6.53.
Adelaide Strikers pacer Megan Schutt drops down to the third position. She has picked up nine wickets as well, at an average of 11.33.
Annabel Sutherland, Jess Jonassen, and Lauren Cheatle also have nine wickets apiece, only behind Schutt on average and economy rates.
Chloe Ainsworth, Hayley Matthews, Sophie Day, and Alana King also closely follow with eight wickets each respectively.
