West Indies announce schedule for series against England

Cricket West Indies (CWI) announced their home series schedule against England to be held in January 2019. The series will consist of three Tests, five One-Day Internationals and three Twenty 20 Internationals which will last for almost two months. This will also be the longest tour for England in West Indies since 2009.

The series will kick-start from January 15 in the form of a 4-day practice match at Three Ws Oval, Barbados. The first test match will be played from January 23-27 at the Kensington Oval, Barbados.

The Kensington Oval (Barbados), Sir Vivian Richards Stadium (Antigua) and Darren Sammy National Cricket Stadium (St. Lucia) will host the Test matches while the ODIs will be held at Barbados' Kensington Oval, Grenada's National Cricket Stadium and St. Lucia's Darren Sammy National Cricket Stadium. While the T20Is will be hosted by Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium and Warner Park (St Kitts).

Both England and West Indies are ranked fifth and eighth respectively in test cricket, first and ninth respectively in ODIs and fourth and seventh respectively in T20Is.

Last time when England toured West Indies in 2009, Windies emerged victorious (1-0) in the five-match test series.

February 22: 2nd ODI, Kensington Oval, Barbados

February 25: 3rd ODI, National Cricket Stadium, Grenada

February 27: 4th ODI, National Cricket Stadium, Grenada

March 2: 5th ODI, Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium, St Lucia

March 5: 1st T20I, Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium, St Lucia

March 8: 2nd T20I, Warner Park, St Kitts

March 10: 3rd T20I, Warner Park, St Kitts
