On that note, let's take a look at top expert reactions to India's dominating victory in the series opener.

#1 Ahmad Shahzad

Former Pakistan batter Ahmad Shahzad slammed the Bangladesh cricket team for their sub-par performances. He thinks the senior players should lead the Tigers' challenge and maintain intensity throughout the game; otherwise, it would be a one-sided contest.

Shahzad heaped praise on the young Indian lot for their dominating performances and also labeled Suryakumar Yadav as a talented skipper. Here's what he said in a video on his official YouTube channel:

"It looked like India were playing against the school boys. India have worked on their domestic cricket and given continuity to the deserving players. There is so much competition among players, resulting in every individual displaying their best performance."

#2 Aakash Chopra

Former cricketer-turned-commentator Aakash Chopra expressed his disappointment with Bangladesh's downfall in international cricket. He pointed out the visitors have looked clueless in the entire tour.

In a video posted on his official YouTube channel, Chopra said:

"It was not a match but a mismatch. Sorry, Bangladesh, but you are playing substandard cricket and the evolution in your game hasn't been witnessed. Your batting was careless and I have no words for the bowling."

Chopra hailed Varun Chakravarthy for his impressive international comeback after three years. He also asserted that pacer Mayank Yadav has the 'ingredients' of being a regular for India.

#3 Wasim Jaffer

Former Indian batter, Wasim Jaffer also shared his reaction to India's emphatic victory over the Tigers. He credited the Men in Blue's victory to their clinical all-round show, writing on X:

"Team effort with both ball and bat, absolute clinical outing from the men in blue 👏🏻 #INDvBAN."

#4 Parthiv Patel

In an interaction on Sports 18, former Indian keeper Parthiv Patel praised the young pacer Mayank Yadav for keeping his nerves calm in his debut international game. Making waves with his fiery pace in IPL 2024, Yadav's first international over was a maiden and he finished with figures of 1/21.

Here's what Patel said of Yadav:

“The highlight for me is Mayank Yadav. I think the way he made his debut, to play with a lot of expectations and reputation is not easy. When you’re expecting 150-plus, if you want to bowl at 150 kmph that is a hard task, just to show no nerves, I think Mayank Yadav has been the highlight for me today." [H/t India Today]

#5 Basit Ali

In a video shared on his official YouTube channel, Basit Ali opined that the Indian team outclassed the visitors in all departments. According to him, after taking an unassailable lead of 2-0, the home team can give chances to the players warming the bench.

"India have changed cricket (with their dominance). Bangladesh is just an appetizer (for them). This is an IPL XI and not an Indian team," Basit Ali said.
"The truth is that Bangladesh are no match for India. In fact, after winning the second match, India can also play any other kids who are left," he added.
