Who said what: Cricketers take to Twitter to wish everyone a Happy Diwali
It is that time of the year again when the entire country celebrates the festival of lights - Diwali. Cricketers all over the world took are flocking to social media platform Twitter to wish their fans a Happy Diwali.
The Indian cricket team have enjoyed many memorable moments during Diwali. Way back in 1983, Sunil Gavaskar notched up 29th Test hundred against West Indies to equal Sir Donald Bradman's world record.
Moving on from there, India were victorious against Australia in the 1987 World Cup match held at the Feroz Shah Kotla in New Delhi.
India enjoyed success against New Zealand and South Africa in 1988 and 1992 respectively too, on Diwali.
Moving on to the 21st century, MS Dhoni made a mark for himself with his career-best knock of 183* in 2005 against Sri Lanka in Jaipur.
The Men in Blue also cherished a victory against arch-rivals Pakistan in 2007 in Kanpur on the last day of Diwali to take a 2-1 lead in the 5 match ODI series. Both the sides had celebrated the festival in Mohali a few days ago before the win in the 3rd ODI.
