Who Said What: World wishes Irfan Pathan, David Warner and Kumar Sangakkara on their birthday

It has been four years since Irfan Pathan last played for India, yet he continues to hold a special place in the hearts of Team India fans. The memory of the hat-trick against Pakistan in 2006 is still fresh as ever, even a decade later. Pathan played a stellar role for the Indian team in the late 2000s, both with the ball and bat.

As he turned 32 today, he was greeted by birthdays wishes from all quarters. Here’s how few of his former teammates wished him on the occasion:

Sachin Tendulkar

Mohammad Kaif

Harbhajan Singh

Anil Kumble

Suresh Raina

Shikhar Dhawan

Alan Wilkins

Current Australia opener David Warner shares his birthday with Pathan. The 30-year old, who has the unique distinction of representing the Australian national side without having played a single first-class match, has grown from strength to strength as an opening batsman over the years. The diminutive batsman received wishes from a number of cricketers. Here are a few:

Virender Sehwag on David Warner

Shikhar Dhawan

Barinder Sran

Sri Lankan legend Kumar Sangakkara also shares his birthday with Irfan Pathan and David Warner. The left-handed wicketkeeper-batsman, who retired from international cricket last year, is the only player to have scored four consecutive centuries in ODIs.
