Why Team India are in a fix

1. The Batting: Is it just me or is our entire batting line-up a little too dependent on Virat Kohli? The final score depends on whether or not Virat Kohli fires with the occasional contribution of Suresh Raina, and more recently Yuvraj Singh. People might argue saying that MS Dhoni is a great batsman under pressure, but we haven’t really seen a quality innings from him in quite a long time.

The young gun..

2. The Bowling: India have no strike bowlers. Period. The only player who actually takes wickets for India isn’t even a genuine bowler, Yuvraj Singh. The likes of Zaheer Khan and Lakshmipathy Balaji haven’t been able to strike as often as we have wanted them to. The bowling department is entirely dependent on the part-timer Yuvraj Singh with occasional wickets from Ravichandran Ashwin.

Yuvi – the strike bowler..

3. The Fielding: In T20 cricket, every run counts. Fielding has become an integral part of the game and saving even a single run matters. India needs a few more dynamic fielders on the field saving those boundaries and holding onto those catches. Again, Virat Kohli, Suresh Raina and Yuvraj Singh are our best fielders.

So, imagine for a moment if Kohli, Raina and Yuvi were to miss a game due to some injury. What would Team India do…? A few changes have to be made if Team India are to maintain their stature on the world stage.
