Windies women to play New Zealand, England
Wellington - The West Indies women’s cricket team will face the New Zealand in three One-day Internationals (ODIs) before engaging New Zealand and England in a tri-series Twenty20 competition in October.
New Zealand have named a 14-member squad for the tour, with the team set to arrive in Jamaica Oct 1.
New Zealand will play a warm-up match Oct 4, before facing the West Indies in the first ODI two days later.
The West Indies and New Zealand will meet in their first Tri-Series match Oct 14.
New Zealand all-rounder Kate Broadmore has made herself unavailable for the tour due to university commitments.
“The Caribbean tour is a great opportunity for us in both formats and we’re confident we can be successful in both,” said New Zealand coach Katrina Keenan.
“I’m very confident in the players we’ve picked and believe that there is a good balance of skills, youth and experience.”
