Video: Yasir Shah brings back memories of Shane Warne's magical delivery
Yasir Shah, the Pakistani bowling sensation, who played a pivotal role in his side’s 1st Test win over England at Lord’s, found himself in the thick of things after dismissing batsman Gary Ballance in an unexpected manner. Shah, who is being considered by many as the rising star of Pakistani cricket, bowled an astonishing delivery which pitched way outside the off stump and turned viscously to take the leg stump. It was a once in a lifetime delivery from the 30-year-old.
The ball is being compared to the Shane Warne’s magical delivery, which he bowled to another English batsman Andrew Strauss. For a young spinner to be compared to the Australian legend is a huge achievement in itself.

Earlier in the Test, the spinner destroyed the English batting line-up with his brilliant bowling in the 1st innings that enabled the visitors to take a healthy lead. He followed it up with another match-winning spell in the 2nd innings.
The Pakistani leggie was out of the national team due to a drug-related ban. He was very upset and wanted to put everything in order before the series. He said it was very difficult for him to be out of the side during that period, but it made him stronger.

Warne had posted in Instagram last year that Yasir bowls the best leg breaks he has ever seen.
“He has the best leg break I’ve ever seen! He was ripping them by the end! Thanks for having me at training Yasir, was an honour to work with you.”
Yasir Shah finished the match with figures of 10-141 that sealed a famous victory for Pakistan at Lord’s.
The delivery which he bowled to dismiss Ballance was a mirror copy of a delivery that Warne bowled in the famous Ashes series in 2005. He pitched the ball way outside the off stump. Andrew Strauss tried to leave it alone, but to his utter disbelief, the ball turned so much that it hit his leg stumps.
Shah earlier said that he considers Shane Warne as his hero and to get compliments from him is unbelievable. Shah considers the Pakistan current crop to be a talented bunch and his hopes are higher after their monumental performance in the first Test.
