Yograj Singh reacts to son Yuvraj's recall to India team, refers to his fiancee as positive influence
Yuvraj Singh’s father reacted happily to his son’s recall to the Indian team for the T20 matches against Australia starting from January 26, saying that the batsman was a ‘great player’, the likes of whom ‘should not be dropped just after few bad innings.’
He said, ”He has always been a very special player for India. I am not saying this because he is my son but because I have coached him. I always knew he was going to make a comeback because of the way things were going.”
He also indicated that Yuvraj’s recent engament to be married in February next year also had a part to play in his resurgence, but confused more than he explained with his appraisal of Hazel Keech.
“I think the best thing that has happened to him is that both Yuvraj and Hazel are on the same level as far as fitness is concerned,” he said.
There have also been other fans on the social media who have attributed Yuvraj’s comeback to the change in his personal life though.

Was hurt when Yuvraj had been dropped: Yograj
“His comeback was always on the cards. When he was dropped I was very much hurt because such great players cannot be dropped just after few bad innings. You got to push them up. A player must be pushed ahead when they are going down and I wish him (Yuvraj) all the best and I hope he wins lots of matches for India.”
Yuvraj has been rewarded for a strong domestic season with a recall to the India T20 team, and a chance to earn his place in the World T20 to be held in India next year. However, the 34-year-old will not play any part in the ODI series, starting on January 12 – with the view of grooming an younger ODI unit.
Yograj Singh, a former international cricketer himself, has found himself in controversy several times with his overemphatically passionate support for his son, and for holding a very public grudge against India captain MS Dhoni for the perceived snub to his son.
Now waiting for Yograj Singh to upload a video where he abuses Dhoni for dropping Sir Stuart Binny from the team. #INDvsAUS
