Yograj Singh reveals why he did not attend son Yuvraj Singh's wedding
Yograj Singh has finally cleared the air on why he decided not to attend his son, Yuvraj Singh’s wedding. The actor-turned-cricketer was missing from family celebrations and rituals throughout. The reason of the absence was uncertain and multiple rumours were floating around.
The 58-year-old is known to be quite vocal and has reasoned that he decided to skip the wedding due to his wife’s devotion towards ‘dera wale babaji’, who apparently has quite an influence on the family. He has always been critical of this devotion and was unhappy with the venue of the wedding and therefore decided to miss it.

“I am really shocked. Even today, educated people believe in Dere vale Baba’s and all,” he said while talking to All India Roundup.
The former Indian cricketer also skipped his younger son Zoravar’s wedding due to the same reason and has since then, never missed an opportunity to speak against the family’s 'irrational' following of the 'Babaji'.
“To the person whom I taught to eat and to play cricket for 16 years haven’t gifted me a Kurta Pyjama yet whereas he managed to put up a line of cars in front of the Dera. I ask him only one question. Who taught him to play cricket and helped him during his tough times of cancer.
"Is it me or the Baba? I don’t understand why Yuvraj always keeps giving credit to Baba for his success in cricket and his life,” Yograj stated.

There have been many controversies surrounding the ceremonies, which include misspelling Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s name on the wedding card and friction between the family members.
Notably, Yuvraj’s parent divorced long time back and the 35-year old has been staying with his mother since. Yograj, who played a big role in framing his son’s cricket career, has had many verbal conflicts with him and his absence from the functions once again raised questions regarding the relationship they share.
