Yuvraj and Zaheer have been playing for the Indian Cricket Team for over a decade. The duo trained together in France last year in order to get their spots back.
Yuvraj has not been a part of the Indian Cricket set-up since the final of the T-20 World Cup against Sri Lanka in April earlier this year. His unusually slow innings made him the target of much criticism from large sections of the media. Fast bowler Zaheer Khan on the other hand has not been a part of the Indian selectors’ plans since the second Test match of India’s tour to New Zealand in February. Widespead speculation arose that Zaheer, 35, would be looking to call it a day but he dismissed all such rumours about his future in international cricket.
