Yuvraj Singh could find himself out of BCCI contract list for 2014-2015 season: Reports

Yuvraj Singh

Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh may not have a central contract for the 2014-15 season, if Zee News reports are to be believed. Yuvraj last represented India in April 6, 2014, in a Twenty20 International and has since then remained on the sidelines owing to poor form and fitness related issues.

The 32-year-old has never been a regular for India in Test cricket and has been out of the One Day International (ODI) set-up for close to a year now; he is most likely to not make it to the 2015 World Cup squad, as well.

The Punjab all-rounder, who is now in the Grade B list of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) along with the likes of Gautam Gambhir, Shikhar Dhawan, Umesh Yadav, Pragyan Ojha, Ishant Sharma, Murali Vijay, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Rohit Sharma, Cheteshwar Pujara and Ravindra Jadeja, will either see himself demoted or out of contract, the report adds.

The two-time World Cup winner has represented India in 373 international matches, scoring over 11,000 runs. His left-arm spin has fetched him 143 wickets. Yuvraj starred with both bat and ball in the World Cup 2011 held in the Indian subcontinent and was rightly awarded the Man-of-the-Tournament.
