Yuvraj Singh's manager clarifies meeting with BJP president non-political affair

Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh was rumoured to be involved in BJP’s election campaign for the Assembly elections in Haryana as per TV sources, reported the Times of India. The 32-year-old had a meeting with BJP party President Amit Shah on Friday at the party headquarters in New Delhi after the election dates were announced by the Election Commission of India.

Putting the speculations to an end, the World Cup winner clarified by retweeting his manager and co-author of his autobiography ‘The Test of My Life’ – Nishant Jeet Arora, who clarified that the meeting was concerned with the player’s cancer awareness initiative 'YouWeCan'.

The Chandigarh-born all-rounder is a prominant figure in the state, henceforth, it was initially thought that the BJP were looking forward to the star batsman’s support in hopes of removing the ruling congress party from power.

The polls are going to be held on the 15th of October and the results of the same are expected to be declared on the 19th. The cricketer was last seen on a cricket field at the Chinnaswamy stadium, Bangalore where he was involved in a charity match with the Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt.
