Yuvraj Singh dedicates Sunrisers Hyderabad's IPL triumph to Ashish Nehra on Instagram

Yuvraj Singh and Ashish Nehra have been teammates for years

Sunrisers Hyderabad had registered their first ever Indian Premier League triumph after defeating the in-form Royal Challengers Bangalore side in their own den a couple of nights back. Although both the teams were in sublime form going into the big final, the odds were highly in favour of the Royal Challengers who flaunted the likes of Chris Gayle, Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers and Shane Watson in their eleven.

The Hyderabad-based franchise who boasts of a tremendous bowling unit- surprisingly- decided to have a go with the bat on a flat Chinnaswamy pitch after having won the toss. Headed by their skipper, David Warner’s quickfire 38-ball 69, the Sunrisers were off to a flying start. Moreover, Yuvraj Singh (23-ball 38) and Ben Cutting’s (15-ball 39) respective innings were more than enough to guide the Orange Army’s total to a formidable 208 at the end of their allotted 20 overs.

While chasing the mammoth target at hand the home team was off to a tremendous start and looked totally in control halfway into the second innings as Chris Gayle and Virat Kohli steered the Bengaluru-based IPL franchise to 114 for none at the end of 10.2 overs. And that was when the match turned on its head. With the fall of the big three (Chris Gayle, Virat Kohli, and AB de Villiers) within a span of just 20 balls, the Sunrisers rode home the advantage which eventually won them the coveted silverware.
