Yuvraj hates batting under pressure, says his mother

Yuvraj’s mother says that the southpaw hates batting under pressure

Yuvraj Singh is passing through a tough phase of his cricketing career. Though he was bought by the Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Indian Premier League auctions this year for a sum of Rs 14 crore, he is yet to justify his worth. Still there are a large number of supporters who believe that he will make a comeback like he did in overcoming the deadly disease of cancer.

Since Yuvraj Singh has become the target of severe criticism after his recent performances, his mother Shabnam Singh has finally broken her silence on Tuesday by saying that her son hates to bat under pressure.

“He is very happy to be picked up for RCB because cricket is all about enjoying and that’s what the Royal Challengers Bangalore stand for. All the boys are really chilled out and that’s where he wants to be because Yuvi hates to bat under pressure or anything,” she told RCB’s official site in an interview.

On the issue of supporting her son through thick and thins, she said, “Whenever he is down and out, it is best to leave him alone instead of pampering him. I try and make him realize that its just the part of the game and he will come out of it. It is a regular part of parent and child and every parent does that.It is very important to support the child. I don’t think so I am different. Mothers are all about fussing over their son and fathers are very harsh. Usually, they are.”
