Yuvraj Singh replies about his anger towards media on Twitter

Yuvraj Singh recently won the IPL title with Sunrisers Hyderabad

Senior Indian batsman Yuvraj Singh took to Twitter to reply to a media house about his alleged anger during an event. It was reported by a reputed cricket website on 6 June that the explosive batsman was visibly upset at an event when he was asked about the Indian captaincy.

The 34-year-old was attending an event at the Virat Kohli Foundation in Mumbai, where the foundation hosted a charity dinner for underprivileged kids. The dinner was attended by a number of sports stars and Bollywood celebrities.

During the event, the left-handed batsman was asked to comment on the speculation that the Indian limited-overs captaincy is to be taken over by Virat Kohli from current captain MS Dhoni. Yuvraj promptly avoided the question by saying that he was there to talk about the event, not about cricket.

The veteran cricketer took to social networking site Twitter to express his views on his alleged angry gesture towards the media. He even asked the media house’s official Twitter handle what wrong did he say. The Punjab-born cricketer also clarified that he was just being professional, and was not angry.

Yuvraj was also a part of the charity football match organized to raise funds to support underprivileged kids named Celebrity Clasico 2016. The match was played between Indian cricketers and Bollywood celebrities.

The Virat Kohli Foundation collaborated with Abhishek Bachchan’s Playing for Humanity to bring together some of the most famous personalities in the country on a football field at the Mumbai Sports Arena. Virat Kohli-led the All Hearts FC against Ranbir Kapoor’s All Stars FC in a 2-2 draw on 4 June.

The cricketers were trailing 0-2 in the second half of the match when Yuvraj came on the field as a substitute and straight away made a big impact.

Yuvraj won his first ever IPL title this year with the Sunrisers Hyderabad by defeating the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the final at Bengaluru. After the victory, he said that the win is right next to his World Cup victories, “It is an amazing feeling to win an IPL trophy. I have won the World Cups but never won an IPL trophy. I have been playing this tournament for eight years now but never won it. That moment has finally come.”
