Yuvraj Singh says he wished he had played in the same team as Ricky Ponting
Indian all rounder Yuvraj Singh has said that former Australian captain Ricky Ponting was one player with whom he wished he could share a dressing room, but couldn’t do so.
Speaking with his fans on a live Twitter chat from the blue room , The 34-year-old replied to a fan’s question that Ponting was someone he wished he could have shared the dressing room with and added that he had played against all players,so there was no one specific with whom he wished he had played.
For those who have seen Yuvraj tweet on weekends when the Premier League matches are on, it is common knowledge that the left-hander is a big Manchester United fan.On being asked his favorite Red Devils memory, he said that it was the thrilling last-minute Champions League win in 1999 against Bayern Munich at the Nou Camp that he remembers fondly.
Yuvraj also revealed what went through his mind when facing the first ball of an innings, saying that he has always had nerves since one always prepares for that and one feels more comfortable after facing a few deliveries.
When asked a query on England and how it has featured in his career on more than one occasion, Yuvraj said that the country was special to him and he had done well against them.
The left-hander is presently competing in the Duleep Trophy in Greater Noida, where he is captaining the India Red side that has booked a place in the final of the competition.
