Zimbabwe captain Brendan Taylor was ecstatic after his team thumped the big guns Pakistan by winning the second Test of the series by 24 runs. By beating Pakistan at Harare, Zimbabwe equalized the two match Test series 1-1.

Zimbabwe captain, Brendan Taylor said, “We’ve done a lot of hard work. We haven’t had a bowling coach in six months and that’s a credit to them [the bowlers],” Taylor said after the match. “Beating a world-class team is a wonderful feeling. Everyone’s contributed, [but] there’s still plenty of room for improvement and we’ll try to better ourselves.”

Zimbabwe needed five wickets to win on the final day while Pakistan needed 106 runs. And the battle between the big guns and the minnows ended with the minnows triumph in the last moment.

Zimbabwean bowler Hamilton Masakadza also had a few things to share, “It’s huge, the way we lost the first Test and the fact that we’ve not beaten one of the bigger sides, only having beaten Bangladesh since we got back to Test cricket, this is really big for us.”
