Zimbabwe v India 2016, Stats: Chahal, batsmen hand India easy 8-wicket win over Zimbabwe

India put in another clinical performance to help clinch the ODI series

In the second ODI of the India tour of Zimbabwe, the visitors once again showed their all-round prowess as they dominated with both bat and ball to win by eight wickets. With this win, India have won the three-match ODI series with the dear rubber set to be played on June 15.

After being put into bat by India, the home side were bowled out for 126 after Sean Williams was absent hurt. At one point of time, Zimbabwe were 106/3 with Vusi Sibanda scoring a well-made half-century. Yuzvendra Chahal picked up three wickets while Barinder Sran and Dhawal Kulkarni picked up two wickets each.

In reply, KL Rahul and Karun Nair got India off to a steady start. Both of them had close shaves and they went on to put up a 50-run stand for the first wicket. Ambati Rayudu was the top-scorer as he made an unbeaten 41.

1 – This is the first time MS Dhoni has won an ODI series since the win over West Indies in 2014.

2 – Yuzvendra Chahal's last two overs were maiden overs after his first four overs went for 25 runs. He picked up all his three wickets in the two maiden overs.
