Rumored WWE 2K15 Roster, comes out with some surprises.
With the WWE all ready for one of it’s biggest Pay Per View events of the year, Summerslam in Los Angeles, the company is also getting ready to release it’s full roster for the forthcoming WWE 2K15 game which launches this summer end. It’s been reported that the roster for the upcoming game was ‘found’ by a GameFAQs forum member through an upcoming issue of GameInformer. The post however, has been taken down since then, which makes some people to doubt its validity. The ‘leaked’ roster has been written below for all to see. However, after looking at the ‘leaked’ roster, some of the things just don’t seem to add up.
CM Punk in the roster
Firstly, the talk of the town, wrestler CM Punk, who after his mysterious departure from the company, is the first to stand out. Although the WWE are yet to release any official statements about his exit, Punk has been quite vocal, in almost every published interview that his days in the ring are now in his past. CM Punk merchandise continues to get sold through WWE shops, but that could just mean that the name CM Punk trademark belongs to the WWE. However, all mention of the wrestler has since been removed from the promotion and only through the fans do we know that someone big is missing. Some reports state that fans who attended a live event taping of Monday Night Raw during February of this year had their CM Punk signs taken away. So while the WWE may still be minting money on CM Punk merchandise, it seems as though that is the only connection they want to have with the superstar. But, again, his name included in the roster? Guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
Although, not expected in this year’s entry, another superstar who finds himself on the list, is Mankind. WWE Legend Mankind also known as Mick Foley stated during an interview that he will not sign his legends deal and also added that the money was a little less when referring to the compensation that he and other legends received from a previous title. A deal could have been signed since that interview took place, but Foley being who he is — especially when it comes to social media – we would have heard something by now.
Besides the ones discussed, there are also missing superstars, or superstars not listed correctly. Alexander Rusev is still listed under the NXT development brand although he’s been consistently on the main WWE roster since April. Recent main roster addition Adam Rose is not even on the list at all even though his roster debut came before wrestler Bo Dallas who apparently made the cut on this “leaked” roster. Besides him there are other omissions as well. Veteran Ryback, whose is nowhere to be found within the game. Another missing wrestler is Justin Gabriel from NXT.
The rumoured leaked list
The “leaked” list looks great at first sight, with all these big names included. Even more interesting is the idea of “classic” and current versions of the more popular wrestlers. But after analyzing the list carefully it looks more like wishful thinking and guesswork than anything else. Either way we’ll find out exactly which superstars made the cut during the official WWE 2K15 roster reveal on Saturday, August 16th. That is one thing that you can be sure off.
