Now that Acheron’s much-anticipated rerun banner in Honkai Star Rail is live, many Trailblazers are likely to pull for her. Those who missed the chance to add her to their collection when she debuted in version 2.1 can now acquire this meta-defining DPS unit. Irrespective of whether players have the character for a long time or not, Trailblazers may end up making some mistakes that can negatively affect their playthrough, potentially wasting a lot of precious resources.

Three mistakes that players should avoid while playing Acheron in Honkai Star Rail

1) Placing Acheron in a team composition with dissimilar playstyle

An easy mistake that players can make in Honkai Star Rail is placing Acheron in a team that boasts a different playstyle. Since she is a Nihility DPS character, putting her in a FUA (Follow-up Attack) composition will just handicap the entire party. For that, it's good to know what characters Acheron synergizes with and whom you should be pairing her up with.

Therefore, understanding how her abilities work is a must since you can easily deduce what characters are best for this Galaxy Ranger. As Acheron needs two characters who can place debuffs on the enemies to trigger her ultimate easily, you should build a team accordingly. Additionally, unlike most Nihility DPS units, Acheron performs the best in hypercarry team compositions, dealing absurd damage.

2) Focusing on the wrong items while building Acheron

It's extremely crucial that you build a character with the right equipment and stats in Honkai Star Rail. Since this Galaxy Ranger is a DPS unit that usually gets placed in hypercarry teams, you should be picking the Relic and Planar ornament sets accordingly. Players must also place debuffs on enemies to make sure Achron is eligible to activate her ultimate. So, you should be farming for Relic sets that help her deal extra damage to enemies with debuffs.

If you don’t use the optimal equipment on Acheron, you won’t be able to take full advantage of her powers. As this Galaxy Ranger is a top-tier DPS unit and is used to complete high-tier/end-game activities, players might face some issues when they are not using the best equipment.

3) Overinvesting in ATK or CRIT stats

Now if you are farming the correct equipment for Acheron in Honkai Star Rail, you should not be investing too much in a single stat. Since this Galaxy Ranger needs to have a good balance of ATK and both CRIT stats, Trailblazers should build her while keeping these things in mind. As her abilities scale with all of these abilities, especially CRIT DMG and ATK, you should be prioritizing these stats over the other ones.

Additionally, having a perfect balance of CRIT Rate and DMG is recommended as you will not be wasting any of these stats. For example, if your Acheron has a 60% CRIT Rate and 200% CRIT DMG, she will not be hitting CRITs 40% of the time and the excess CRIT DMG is simply a waste. Therefore, you should always keep a 1:2 ratio to make the most of her equipment.

As for ATK, you shouldn’t overinvest in it as well since the extra will be a significant waste of your resources and time. Instead, you can use these resources to farm for either boss mats, ornaments, or trace level-up mats.
