5 great Mage weapons to use in Dragon Age The Veilguard
1) Timeworn Mageknife
The Timeworn Mageknife can be found all across Thedas, though its benefits can be truly reaped as you keep leveling it up. It can also greatly enhance the damage effects of Arcane Bombs in various ways, with the Legendary variant of the weapon helping deal area damage at the cost of 10 Mana. When it reaches Epic rarity, it can also recover 250 HP upon triggering an Arcane Bomb.
2) Fadelight
The Fadelight Orb helps not just with the replenishment of Health, but also damaging that of the enemy. When leveled up to Epic, it aids greatly in the replenishment of 250 Health upon performing a Perfect Defense. However, it is best utilized when no potions are present in the inventory, as the Light attack damage is increased by 25%. This is great if other allies can focus on the healing while you concentrate on the offensive.
3) Veilsong
Should some enemies need to be Staggered on the battlefield, the various perks of the Veilsong Orb can prove to be handy. In addition to increasing the effects of Stagger, it can also deal additional damage to the enemy as per their degree of Stagger. Lastly, if upgraded to Legendary rarity, you receive Health each time an enemy is taken down, which can come in handy when consumables are running low.
4) Thorn of Misfortune
The Thorn of Misfortune can also help enhance the effects of Arcane Bombs while helping deal Critical damage to enemies. Additionally, if the rarity is Epic or higher, any enemy struck with a Critical hit will be dealt an affliction depending on the type of Orb that you have equipped. Lastly, the Legendary rarity will reduce the need for an Arcane Mark by one when creating new Arcane Bombs.
5) Stormcharger/ Veilseeker
Enemies weak against Electric damage can be stopped in their tracks with the Stormcharger weapon. With the base weapon in itself providing resistance to Electric, the first unique perk may cause some Electric attacks to come back to Rook. This is countered by the second Unique perk, however, which removes the Electric effects if Rook is hit while being shocked. Additionally, it helps deal Electric damage to nearby enemies.
