5 best submachine guns in Escape from Tarkov patch 0.15
We are already halfway into patch 0.15 and players may wonder what are the best submachine guns in Escape from Tarkov. SMGs are one of the best weapon types for CQB and for those who prefer the run-and-gun playstyle. Selecting the right SMG can help you take down enemies quickly and efficiently. Moreover, the game offers several submachine guns that you can customize to suit your play style and use in your raids.
That said, we will be listing five submachine guns in Escape from Tarkov that will help you dominate in patch 0.15.
Note: This list is subjective and solely relies on the writer's opinion.
Best submachine guns in Escape from Tarkov for patch 0.15
1) KRISS Vector Gen.2
In patch 0.15, the best submachine gun you can use is the KRISS Vector Gen.2. This weapon is one of the fastest-firing SMG in the game, boasting 1100 RPM. The 9x19mm variant of this weapon is also a beast in CQB fights and can hold 50-round magazines, providing an exceptional amount of firepower.
The .45 ACP variant paired with RIP can easily drop the enemies in an instant when you deal flesh damage. Additionally, the .45 ACP AP is more of a standard ammo when you are aiming for those satisfying headshots, as it can easily penetrate Class 4 armor.

2) IWI UZI PRO SMG
Another SMG you should consider using during the Escape from Tarkov patch 0.15 is the UZi PRO. Right after the Kriss Vector, this weapon boasts a whopping 1075 RPM that can help shred through enemy armor. Since it's a 9x19mm weapon, you can pair it with either PBP or AP 6.3.
The weapon can easily shine while using any of the aforementioned ammo types; however, if you have the money to spare and want immediate results, we recommend the former.
3) HK MP7A1
For those who are more into the run-and-gun playstyle, the HK MP7A1 is the best weapon for them. This submachine gun practically has little to no recoil and when equipped with good attachments, this weapon can easily beam enemies mid-range. Since unlocking this weapon and the good ammo is rather easy, you can start using this weapon quite early in the wipe.
However, if you don't have good ammo - FMJ SX or AP SX unlocked, you can use Action SX and aim for the opponent’s legs or arms since the latter deals a significant amount of flesh damage.

4) B&T MP9-N
Following KRISS Vector’s footsteps in Escape from Tarkov, the B&T MP9-N boasts 1100 RPM. If you don’t have enough money and want to build and use a gun that can easily eliminate hostile PMC operatives, this is the weapon you should be building. While it's viable for mid-range fights, you will always win close-quarter fights.
Same as most 9x19mm submachine guns, you can use either AP 6.3 or PBP. Since the latter can penetrate Class 4 armor, you won’t have any problem eliminating enemies. However, because of the high RPM, you will have to carry a decent amount of magazines or you might run out of loaded mags while fighting.

5) FN P90
If you are constantly engaging in a fight and want a submachine gun with a decently large magazine, the FN P90 is the most suitable choice for you. This weapon is quite viable in Escape from Tarkov patch 0.15 and can easily be acquired from the flea market. Additionally, you can purchase it from Peacekeeper but that can be quite costly.
While the weapon is exceptional in fights, the only downside of it is each magazine takes an incredible amount of time to refill. That is why we have placed this weapon in fifth place.
