5 best weapons in Apex Legends Launch Royale

EA introduced the Launch Royale game mode to Apex Legends alongside Season 23. The game mode is quite nostalgic for those playing for the entirety of the time it's been available. The weapons and the map in the game mode have been reverted back to how the game first launched back in 2019, along with all the Legends. Over the years the developer has changed the existing weapons to rile up the meta. While some changes are minor, others affect the outcome of each game.

This article lists the best five weapons that you can use in the Apex Legends Launch Royale game mode.

Best weapons that you should be using in Apex Legends Launch Royale mode

1) Wingman

In normal modes, Wingman is one of the least used weapons because it consumes a decent amount of bullets while the ammo stack is rather small. However, in the Launch Royale mode, it's the best weapon players can use. Unlike the current Wingman, the weapon in the game mode can be paired up with the Skullpiercer hop-up which significantly boosts the headshot damage of each shot.

Moreover, since the weapon uses Heavy ammo in Launch Royale, players can easily stack up a considerable amount. The heavy weapon attachments can also be equipped on this deadly pistol.

2) R-99

Another weapon that every player should be picking up in the Apex Legends Launch Royale mode is the R-99 submachine gun. Over the years, this weapon received a significant amount of nerfs just because of how potent it was. Since the recent nerfs do not matter in this mode, you can definitely pick this weapon up and easily secure knockdowns after knockdowns.

Since the Light round is quite common, you won’t face any issues while looking for ammo. Additionally, the R-99 is also viable for mid-range fights as it can be equipped with the barrel stabilizer mod as the laser sight was not a feature back then.

3) Prowler Burst PDW

We have decided to place Prowler on this list simply because of how potent the weapon is when equipped with certain attachments. The submachine gun can be equipped with heavy weapon attachments and most importantly, the Selectfire Receiver hop-up. The aforementioned hop-up allows Prowler to fire in the full-auto mode. Since the weapon’s damage is tuned as a burst weapon, after becoming full-auto, it can crack purple shields without breaking a sweat.

If you don't get the Selectfire Receiver hop-up, don’t worry as the weapon will still be lethal in close-range fights.

4) R-301

Another weapon you should definitely be using is the R-301. This Light weapon boasts one of the easiest recoil patterns and because of how stable the weapon is, you can easily hit your shots from far away. Paired with the level 4 barrel stabilizer, the R-301 can become the most stable weapon in Apex Legends.

Since the weapon’s spawn rate is quite high, you can easily obtain it regardless of where you land.

5) EVA-8

EVA-8 auto shotgun gets its slot in this list simply because of how inconsistent the Peacekeeper in the Apex Legends Launch Royale mode is. This shotgun can fire a total of eight shots that can easily secure a knockdown. Since it doesn’t require any extra hop-up to boost its potency, you can head straight to a fight right after picking it up.

However, when equipped with the shotgun bolt attachment, EVA-8 can fire at a much faster fire rate, increasing your chances of winning a CQB.
