5 Premier League players who deserve a rating upgrade in FIFA 18
Chelsea, this season, have dusted off last season’s problems in style and turned the title run-in into a mere formality with their 3-0 win over Middlesbrough last week. Chelsea have literally walked away with the title and have by far looked the most complete unit in the Premier League.
A combination of superlative team and individual displays are sure to result in an increase in their players' ratings in the next instalment of the FIFA series.
Apart from this, players from other clubs have also performed admirably well, an example being Romelu Lukaku who despite playing for a club outside the traditional powerhouses is leading the Premier League scoring charts with 24 goals this season.
These displays are likely to be rewarded with rating upgrades in FIFA 18 and in this article, we list those Premier League players who deserve to receive rating upgrades in FIFA 18 after an impressive 2016-17 season.
#1 Eden Hazard
The 2015-16 was a nightmare for Eden Hazard. Off the boil and out of favour with manager Jose Mourinho, Hazard only showed glimpses of his true potential once the Portuguese incumbent was sacked and Chelsea were languishing in 15th place.
The Belgian endured a difficult season, so much that his most memorable contribution was the derailing of Spurs’ title charge which allowed Leicester to run away with the title.
This season though, Hazard has looked like a man on a mission. Playing a free role in Antonio Conte’s otherwise extremely disciplined 3-4-3 setup, Hazard, true to his name has been an imperious threat to defences all season.
His incisive dribbling and movement have seen him score 15 Premier League goals and provide 5 assists to his teammates while also creating space for them with his intelligent runs.
The winger’s rating for FIFA 16 had remained stationary at 88 after a poor season under Mourinho but this season’s performances have lived up to the hype surrounding the Belgian. He is now, without a doubt, the best player in the Premier League and will be expected to overtake David de Gea for the title of the Premier League’s best player in FIFA 18.
Expect Eden Hazard to command a rating of around 90-92 after exceptional performances that led to Chelsea winning the title this season.
