Arrival on Planet Name in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero is a story chapter in which Goku faces two of the strongest members of the Ginyu Force. The Namek Arc features the encounter against the space tyrant Friezer and his squad. In the manga and official anime, during this arc, Goku unlocks his Super Saiyan form for the first time.

Canon route: Defeat Burter
The Canon Route is the intended path but much more difficult, where you will fight Burter after dealing with Jeice. However, the in-game instructions can be misleading due to a translation error.

How to trigger the canon route
- Deflect Jeice’s Crusher Ball: Despite the game’s instructions telling you not to deflect Jeice’s Crusher Ball, this is actually incorrect. You need to deflect it during your battle with Jeice to activate the canon story path.
- Once you successfully deflect the Crusher Ball, Burter will step in to take on Goku.
If you cannot trigger Burter’s appearance even after deflecting Jeice’s Crusher Ball, try lowering the difficulty level. Sometimes the game glitches and keeps the alternate route locked on higher difficulties. The battle against Burter will be more challenging than Jeice’s fight.
Successfully defeating Burter after deflecting Jeice’s Crusher Ball will continue the main story and reward you with 15,000 Zeni and experience points (EXP).
Alternate route: Defeat Jeice
The alternate route is a simpler and more commonly triggered path that involves defeating Jeice directly without fighting Burter.

How to trigger the alternate route
- Do not deflect Jeice’s Crusher Ball: If you avoid deflecting Jeice’s Crusher Ball throughout the fight, you will only face Jeice. Burter will flee back to Captain Ginyu, and you won’t have to fight him on this route.
Defeating Jeice and completing this alternate route will also give you 15,000 Zeni and EXP, allowing you to progress without much hassle.
