All Halo 2 Maps added to Halo Infinite explained

Halo Infinite received a bunch of classic Halo 2 multiplayer maps to celebrate Halo 2’s 20th anniversary. The maps have been introduced with the Delta Arena, which was released on November 5, 2024.

The Delta Arena playlist features a plethora of new content, including authentic Halo 2 gameplay, a fully playable version of the iconic Halo 2 2003 E3 demo including fresh new never-before-seen content, and most importantly, reworked variations of a few classic Halo 2 multiplayer maps.

This article will provide brief details about all the Halo 2 maps that have returned.


Delta Arena brings classic Halo 2 maps to Halo Infinite

Halo Infinite's Delta Arena dropped on November 5, 2024, with Operation: Great Journey, and with it came reworked versions of seven of the classic Halo 2 multiplayer maps. All seven reworked maps have a modernized angle but still keep the core legacy of Halo 2 intact. Having said that, here is a list of the seven traditional maps with details about their redesigns.

1) Ascension

Designed by bullet2thehead9, DISTORTED JAKAL and MikRips, this map received a few changes but kept the same name. Set in an abandoned desert terrain, Ascension features a number of elevated platforms with connected bridges to stay true to its name.


2) Boulevard

Boulevard is the remade version of the classic map, Turf. It has been designed by UneeQ, Mr Greencastle, ArtNoob and MikRips. This map has the battle arena in a city including narrow lanes surrounded by buildings. Two teams fight to take control of a street in a city called New Mombasa.


3) Canopy

Canopy is the redesign of Lockout made by UneeQ, Mr GreenCastle, MikRips and ArtNoob. The map is set in a vast jungle area with overgrown trees giving it a tropical theme. This is the first time this map gets a leafy outlook.


4) Conjurer

Conjurer is the remake of the classic Halo 2 map, Warlock. It features an old Gothic theme with broken arches and pillars having glowing crystals. It has been designed by MikRips, bullet2thehead9 and DISTORTED JAKAL.


5) Inquisitor

Inquisitor is the redesigned version of Midship. It has been designed by UneeQ, Mr GreenCastle, MikRips, ArtNoob and WookieCookies. Inquisitor is set in a Covenant warship with characteristic rounded interiors and a purplish color theme.


6) Serenity

Serenity has been designed by UneeQ, Mr Greencastle and MikRips, and is a reworked version of Sanctuary. The map is symmetrical, where teams fight in abandoned stone ruins to conquer mysterious buildings.


7) Beaver Canyon

Beaver Canyon is the redesign of Beaver Creek made by UneeQ, Mr Greencastle, Azwilko1997 and MikRips. The map is pretty much the same as Beaver Creek with recolors and minor changes.


These cover all the Halo 2 maps that have returned with the Delta Arena update on November 5, 2024. The gameplay itself might not differ a lot from the old days, but the newer outlook of the maps will add a modern twist to the playstyle.

The Delta Arena playlist brought a lot of characteristic content back to the game, all the while keeping a fresh new look. Halo Infinite has provided a lot of nostalgia in the past few and are looking to rekindle the franchise.
