The ranks in Deadlock have finally been announced, marking a major milestone for the game as it moves closer to the final release. Although still in the early development phase, the upcoming ranked mode in Deadlock introduces a structured progression system similar to other competitive titles. A new popup window in the game has revealed that there will be 11 ranks in Deadlock, each divided into four subranks. These ranks are designed to reflect the player's progression. Here is the full list of ranks from the lowest to the highest:

  • Initiate (I to IV)
  • Seeker (I to IV)
  • Alchemist (I to IV)
  • Arcanist (I to IV)
  • Ritualist (I to IV)
  • Emissary (I to IV)
  • Archon (I to IV)
  • Oracle (I to IV)
  • Phantom (I to IV)
  • Ascendant (I to IV)
  • Eternus (I to IV)

The badge designs of all the ranks will officially be revealed when all the players receive their first rank on October 22, 2024. Unlike many other games that use a more straightforward rank system with names like Bronze, Silver, Gold, etc, Deadlock has opted for a more intricate and thematic approach, similar to another Valve competitive title, DOTA 2.

How to play ranked mode in Deadlock

Anyone who has access to the game can play the Deadlock Ranked Mode if they have played at least 50 public lobby matches and have no behavior restrictions. The ranks of the players will be updated every week after they play at least 7 matches.

It is to be noted that the game is in an early phase and Valve is likely experimenting with the competitive system of Deadlock. The eligibility and structure of the Ranked Mode are likely to change with the official release.
