Best characters for Abyss Surges in Wuthering Waves

Abyss Surges is a 5-Star Standard weapon available in Wuthering Waves. It is a Gauntlet-type weapon and can be equipped on characters who wield Gauntlets. As with all Standard weapons, Abyss Surges can be obtained only from the Standard Weapon Convene and isn't present in any other banner. It can also be selected from the 5-Star Weapon Supply Chest gifted to players for reaching Union Level 45.

At Level 90, Abyss Surges has the following main stats and effects:

Weapon Passive	Increases Energy Regen by 12.8%/16%/192.%/22.4%/25.6%. When hitting an opponent with Resonance Skill, Basic Attack DMG is increased by 10%/12.5%/15%/17.5%20%, lasting up to 8 seconds. Additionally, when hitting an opponent with Basic Attacks, Resonance Skill DMG is increased by 10%/12.5%/15%/17.5%20%, lasting up to 8 seconds.

Aside from having a high Base ATK, Abyss Surges also provides a lot of buffs to the equipping character. The ATK% Secondary Stat ensures this weapon functions as a great stat stick for any DPS Gauntlet user, as the ATK buff will always be more than welcome.

Additionally, Abyss Surges also boosts both Normal Attacks and Resonance Skill, meaning it can be used by characters who inflict damage using their Basic Attacks as well as characters who rely on their Resonance Skill for attacks. Finally, the Energy Regen buff means characters can recharge their Ultimates faster, increasing the party's overall damage output.

1) Jianxin

Abyss Surges is Jianxin's best weapon. Apart from the ATK buffs, Jianxin can also fully utilize its Energy Regeneration effect, making this a great weapon for her. Jianxin can be easily built as a DPS/sub-DPS character, in which case you shouldn't look any further than Abyss Surges for her best-in-slot weapon. Equipping Abyss Surges on Jianxin will not only boost both her Basic Attack and Resonance Skill DMG, but also allow her to quickly regain her Ultimate.

2) Youhu

Youhu mostly functions as a sub-DPS/support character, which means she can also comfortably equip Abyss Surges. Not only can Youhu benefit from the increased ATK boost and Energy Regen, she can also make good use of its other buffs. Youhu inflicts damage both via her Basic Attack as well as her Resonance Skill, which means she can fully utilize all the buffs that Abyss Surges has to provide.

3) Lingyang

Lingyang is another Resonator who can make perfect use of Abyss Surges. His kit focuses on switching between Basic Attacks and Resonance Skill, which means he can alternatively activate both the Basic Attack buff and Resonance Skill buff offered by Abyss Surges.

The extra Energy Regen can also help him recharge his Ultimate faster, making this weapon one of Lingyang's best options in-game.

4) Xiangli Yao

While Abyss Surges is not Xiangli Yao's best-in-slot weapon, he can still comfortably use it. Due to its high Base ATK and other ATK buffs, Abyss Surges is a great 5-Star Gauntlet weapon that can be equipped on almost any Gauntlet wielder, regardless of their kit.

If you do not have Xiangli Yao's signature weapon Verity's Handle, Abyss Surges is a good second option for him even at Refinement Rank 1.
